This is the second half of the really long blog post. Mostly, I am posting my get from the week after the meet.
But, I did do something besides shop, so hang tight and I’ll get to it.

Finally decided to invest into some Dolly Wink lashes. :] I think it was the sweet girl set that I bought.
They really bring my make up together and makes it look so much more dolly than just using a little bit of mascara.
Bought these from Mitsuwa while hanging out with my waifu, Caitlin this past week.
They’re wonderful, though I’m still figuring out the bottom lashes since those are pretty much new to me all together.
Richie was also finally able to accompany me down to Irvine and we did a little bit of shopping. Went to the Rilakkuma store, had some awesome ramen from Ajisen and then did purikura to finish the day off since Caitlin had to leave for class. After she left, we walked around The South Coast Plaza and I bought a book to put my purikura in.

I had fallen in love with Caitlin’s keyring so she took me to buy one like it. It was the last one in the store!
I got lucky.

These I bought directly from Caitlin. They’re btssb Mille Fueille platform shoes.
The soles are wooden, but surprisingly light and comfortable! Beats wearing heels all day, that’s for sure.

Chocomint accessories that I received some time ago while doing a group order. Never got around to posting them so, here they are!

Richie’s first purikura picture!
Forgot to scan it before I put it in the keyring and now I can’t get it out.
This past Sunday, I went back down to Irvine to hangout with Caitlin again.
She had some local lolita that she insisted that I meet so I did. We stopped in to Crepe de Paris and had luncheon there and talked about the upcoming happenings in the community for September. I’m hoping to make at least one of them seeing as how Richie may or may not be able to go.
(Usually, this is because we’d never make it back in time for him to get to work and it’s not a good idea for him to miss work. Especially because Irvine is about 2 hours away!
)

Here’s how I did my make that day. As you can see I’m using my Dolly Wink.
The first thing that Caitlin said when I arrived was, “Omg, you look so cute! D: I don’t even–”
Guess I’m doin’ it rite?

My coord. I was wearing a blue cardigan but I traded my pony bag (+$30) for this Dreaming Macaron cutsew from Angelic Pretty.
Surprisingly, it fit my big boobs.
Then again, if it fits Caitlin, I can have faith it’ll fit me. (She’s gifted in the chest area too.
)
Towards the end of the evening, Caitlin and I decided we wanted to do purikura. A friend of ours was feeling pretty crappy lately, so we encouraged her to come out and meet us to do karaoke and purikura. I think it made her feel a bit better.

Top to bottom:
Caitlin, Christine and then me on the bottom.
And so this concludes the really long blog post series!
Really, I should have just broken this up into a few different posts, but I am lazy.
Good night all!
August 31st, 2010

I realize it’s been about a month and a half, possibly longer since I’ve updated Momoberi and for that, I apologize. Mostly it was laziness that prompted me to ignore my blog at first but then I started getting busy; made some new friends, went to some meets and just accidentally ended up forgetting about it completely.
ゴメンください.
Let’s see… I’ll start with the meet up in Santa Monica on the 21st. First off, it was super crowded and we kept getting yelled at by a hobo after we refused to give him some of our food.
He kept calling us “Godless lesbian occultists”. It made us laugh though since it was all nonsense, we ignored it and had a good time.
Played some games, wandered around the pier and rode the antique carousal! (est. in 1922)

Outfit rundown!
- Wig from cyperous
- accesories from offbrand
- Blouse from Foever21
- Belt from Papaya
- Skirt from Metamorphose
- Bag from Kidsyoyo
- Stockings from Forever21
- Shoes from Hot Topic
Mind that most of my photos are kinda derpy.
Anyways, I’m putting the rest of this post under a cut since it’ll be a bit photo heavy!! (+8 photos & two panorama photos linked courtesy of the lovely hostess.)

My waifu, Kiyoko39. Can’t remember why she looks like this but she looks sorta disappoint.
Wearing Angelic Pretty Fantasic Dolly cutsew (I think) and Melty Chocolate salopette skirt.

Richie and Jayme who decided it’d be an awesome photo-bomb opportunity.

Group shot of us during the picnic. Richie was pretty much the only dude on our blanket so he got to pimp the lolis.
This photo was taken by our lovely hostess, Lemontree11

Everyone getting ready for the carousal ride. Richie didn’t ride and instead offered to hold anyone’s purse/parasol/coat who didn’t want it on the ride.

IDK when this was even taken but that’s ok. I look like I’m getting ready to eat someone.
The whole meet ended around 4pm or so. I didn’t want to go home yet, so Kiyoko offered to lead us down to Irvine for some dinner. BUFFALO BURGERS.
So, we get down there and end up going to a grocer called Whole Foods. I was surprised when we got to the meat counter because it doubles as a small diner type thing.
We ordered our burgers and Kiyoko gave us the grand tour of delicious specialty meats that they carried.
Richie enjoyed it the most, I think since it reminded him of being home in Wyoming.

GLORIOUS MEATS!
Buffalo patties, buffalo hot dogs, sausages, bacons, etc!!
Not even sure where to begin on how much I wanted to bring a buttload back with me!

This photo was an utter joke.
And that, my friends was the most epic event of August. I actually had a lot of fun this month and got to connect with quite a few people who I made either friends or acquaintances with. It was a great experience and I’m excited to go to more of these meet-ups. Kiyoko and I have hit it off like bread and butter, so we’ve been hanging out as frequently as her schedule and my gas budget will allow.
Good times, though.
As promised, here are the two panoramic photos. Again, courtesy of our hostess, Lemontree11.

It’s getting late now, so I’m going to watch some Family Guy, finish Futurama, read a bit and then head to bed!
GOOD NIGHT!!

I received my Swan Lake in the mail! It’s absolutely more beautiful in person than I thought it would be. It’s vibrant and very eye-catching. As I have explained time and time before, this print is a print I had seen on a girl walking down the street in Downtown L.A. two years ago. She had the black colorway and it was just as vibrant except w/ blues in it. (I want the black color way too, btw.
) It made me fall in love with Lolita in a way I had never loved it before. I knew about lolita, I dabbled in it during Jr. High and High school, but when I saw that print, I knew one day, I’d own it.
So, here we go!

Both my packages arrived safe and sound, after a small mistake at the post office. They scanned in the wig as received at 6:00am but it hadn’t even been delivered because they don’t do deliveries at that hour!

The beautiful skirt! As you can see, it needs a little bit of gentle ironing as it was bought NWT and it’s probably spent a lot of time in its package.

Glorious close up of the print. (Do those swans remind you of a sozai I have on my blog?
)

And last but not least, a photo of it worn. The skirt sits pretty high on my waist as it’s a bit too tight to be near my hips (LOL @ my hips being puffy cause they are. </3)
On to the wigs!
This was a bit of a surprise in two ways. #1: I ordered wig spray, but didn’t get it. I’ve contacted Cyperous so I’m hoping they can help me resolve this. I have a feeling that if who ever was packing is anything like me, the bottle was right next to the box but they forgot to put it in.

As you can see, the bouffant is not as prominent as the other wig I ordered. A little teasing might help it pouf up though.

The difference between the two is phenomenal! I love how relaxed the new one is, it’ll allow me to wear it with more casual styles in or out of Lolita.
I’m over all happy with the wig, but I’m a tiny bit upset about the wig spray as it was the one thing I was absolutely needing without a shadow of a doubt because brushing these things w/o detangler is just a nightmare.

I finally got my OP from Baby, the stars shine bright.
It’s as cute as a bug’s ear. Except, the bodice wasn’t what I thought it was going to be. But, I’ll get to that in a bit. Let’s just start off with our routine “package opening” photos.
Please be warned that the following is extremely image heavy.

There it is. The beautiful one piece.
It’s lovely, but the more I looked at it after an unsuccessful try-on, I began to hate the bodice. I took it to Grandma’s to see if there was anything we could do to help it not only fit better, but look better while on. We released two darts in the back and it helped the fit quite a bit, however, the dress, as a dress, looked awful on me.
So, I forced Ma (much to her dismay) to chop off the bodice and help me turn it into a skirt.
She almost cried cutting into it because she kept going on about how well made it was, but I’m a mean girl so I made her do it. (Really, it was cause I didn’t have the guts to make the cut myself
)
It turned out lovely though:

Overall, I’m pretty happy with my purchase. I know now though that I should just stick with buying JSKs or skirts as OPs don’t agree with my body-type.

I’ll admit, I forgot to do a review on Cyperous, but I’m sure by now, we’ve all seen the photos of me wearing it.
I’m so in love with it. Hahaha. In fact, I went ahead and ordered another one! That way, I have one to wear w/ Lolita and one to just wear out and about.

It’s a bit tedious to detangle, but I went ahead and ordered some wig detangler with the new one so, I’m hoping it helps. If anyone has any tips on taking care for this particular wig, let me know. I don’t wanna ruin it.
in advance.

Ok so, I’ve gotten lots of questions about how my meetup went!
To say the least and to say it honestly, it was a bit rowdy and somewhat of a socially awkward event. None of the girls as far as it seemed (except for two pair) really knew one another. It was very touch and go. The girls were all very lovely and prettily dressed, so I suppose it was nice to be with a like-minded group for once.
The only thing that sucked major butt-tarts was that I kept noticing this fat old man staring at us/stalking us and so like 15 minutes before the rink closed, he approached us. Or rather, he approached me and started going on about our “bo peep outfits” and “how we should come by more often”. I couldn’t get up the guts to tell him to GTFO. Cause it was downright creepy and very startling.
But, we got some nice photos. I only two took. The rest were taken by some very sweet S.O.s (significant others) who had mega SLRs to snap shots of us in. I’ll have to post them some other time though since they’re not available to me yet.
